Dr. Seuss Breakfast

Our second event of the year is always the Dr. Seuss Breakfast. We host this on the first Saturday of March to celebrate the birthday of Theodore Geisel the creator of all things Suessian! This year we are hoping for good weather... but, again, hardy New Englanders come out even if there IS snow on the ground!

As always, our meal celebrates the good Doctor so, we have a plethora of Whoville Goodies including a Pink Ink Yink Drink, Roast Who Beast, Red Fish Blue Fish Jelly Delight, Fruity Cat Hat Stack and of course, our favorite Green Eggs and Ham!

We are lucky to have volunteers who, when asked "Will you come to breakfast, wear a top hat, a bow tie, a white lab coat and read for three and a half hours?" ... they say yes!

We decorate with a lot of balloons, cover the tables with paper so budding artists can put their own twist on the event, and have copious amounts of maple syrup!

Join us for a photo of yourself as Thing 1 or Thing 2! We have a "stand behind" ... where you put your face in a hole and from the front you could be ... Thing 1 or Thing 2! This is very successful with the younger guests and, as everyone carries a smart phone with them now, a hit with their parents too!
