An opportunity to learn about our daily operation.
A chance to bring out your creative talents utilizing
our variety of foods.
This is a challenge offered to all qualified chefs &
cooking enthusiasts!
You work with a daily menu and foods provided by The
Inventory Control Manager to serve 125-150 meals by
5:00pm.
Your time commitment varies approximately 5-6 hours.
Weekly hot meals are prepared from 11:00am to 5:00pm
Monday through Friday. Meals are served 5:00pm to 6:30pm.
Sunday Brunch is not being held until further notice.
The operations of The Community Kitchen are strongly linked
to our dedicated volunteer staff and the support offered by
food donations from local supermarkets, restaurants,
distributors, businesses, and individuals. Financial support
is also gratefully received from the Monadnock United Way,
civic groups, businesses, towns and individuals.
On any given day, between 125 and 150 people stop in to
socialize and enjoy a healthy meal. Menus are planned after
donated food is picked up. Our daily hot meal consists of
the following: 1 meat entrée, 1 vegetarian entree, 3
servings of different vegetables, a starch, a garden salad,
a fresh cut fruit salad, 2 soups (1 meatless) desserts and
beverages. Meals are served Monday through Friday from 5:00
– 6:30pm under the supervision
of the Hot Meals Guest Chef and Clean-up Coordinators.
